Welcome to Matchya! These terms set out your rights and responsibilities when using our website (www.matchyatea.com) and when buying any of our products. Please read them carefully. They sit alongside your legal rights as a consumer, which are not affected. If you’re unsure about anything, feel free to reach out to us at info@matchyatea.com.

This website is operated by Shopify LTD, trading as Matchya (“we”, “our” or “us”).

We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page, and by continuing to use the site you agree to the updated version.

 

 

Using Our Website

  • All content on this site is owned by or licensed to us. You’re welcome to view and print pages for personal use, but anything beyond that needs our written permission.

  • We may suspend, restrict, or stop your use of the site at any time if necessary.

 

 

Buying from Matchya

  • Our products and site content may change without notice. If we make updates to a product after you’ve placed an order, we’ll let you know before shipping. If you’re not happy with the changes, you can cancel and get a full refund.

  • To qualify for a refund, tea products must be returned unopened, sealed, and in their original packaging (for health and safety reasons). We recommend keeping your packaging until you’re sure you’re keeping the product. Shipping costs will only be refunded if the item is faulty or not as described.

  • Please also check our Delivery & Returns Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

  • While we try to ensure product images and descriptions are accurate, colours and details may differ slightly in real life.

  • If an item you’ve ordered is out of stock, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and give you the choice of a replacement or a full refund.

  • When placing an order, you agree that we can use your details for fulfilling it — including sharing them with couriers and service partners.

  • Your order is only confirmed once we’ve received payment in full and dispatched your items. Until then, we reserve the right to decline any order.

 

 

Prices

  • All prices are shown in GBP (£).

  • Delivery and insurance costs are detailed in our Delivery & Returns Policy and are added at checkout depending on your location.

 

 

Delivery

  • UK orders usually arrive within 5–7 working days, though exact delivery dates can’t be guaranteed.

  • If delivery isn’t possible within 90 days of your order, we’ll contact you to arrange a refund or alternative.

  • Orders are shipped with our chosen courier partners. More details are in our Delivery & Returns Policy.

 

 

Damaged or Faulty Goods

Please check your items when they arrive. If something is damaged or faulty, contact us as soon as possible at info@matchyatea.com with:

  • Your order number

  • The product name

  • A description of the issue

If you want to return the item, please follow the steps in our Delivery & Returns Policy.

 

 

Liability

  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

  • We try to keep all information on our site accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee this at all times and are not responsible for reliance on outdated or incorrect information.

  • While we work hard to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of any data you share online and are not responsible for breaches outside our control.

  • We are not responsible for losses arising from your use (or inability to use) the site, unless the losses are foreseeable.

  • We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control (e.g. strikes, natural disasters, new laws).

  • Our liability for damage to physical property caused by our goods will not exceed £5,000 per event. For any other claims relating to goods, our liability is capped at the price you paid for the product in question.

  • Our site may link to third-party websites. We’re not responsible for their content or availability.

  • We don’t keep permanent records of your order or these terms, so we suggest printing a copy for your records.

  • If any part of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest still applies.

  • Only you and Matchya can enforce these terms — no one else has rights under them.

  • These terms are the full agreement between us relating to your use of the site and any orders placed. They are governed by English law, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.

  • All communication between us will be in English.

 

 

Your Right to Cancel

If you’re a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order and get a refund within 7 days of receiving your goods.

  • To qualify, items must be returned in their original condition, unopened, and with all packaging intact.

  • Refunds of shipping costs are only available if the goods are faulty.
